EZ Cut Die Cutting Machine, should my pad have cut marks on it?
Hi there. Today I purchased the EZ Cut Die Cutting machine, the larger sized one, and I followed the instructions to make my first cut. I placed the "A" pad on the machine, followed by the cutting die, then the paper, then pad "C". I rolled it through and when I took it out, the cut was fine but it has left cut marks on pad "C". Is this meant to happen? I checked and re checked but the instructions do not tell you to add anything else before inserting the bundle into the cutting machine. Thanks alot.
My Cricut mats look like someone has massacred paper all over them-LOL. It is normal, but if there's a pressure switch on your machine, for the type of paper you used, I'd turn the pressure down 1 notch. When you cut with various thicknesses of paper, from vellum to card stock, you need to learn to adjust for the thicknesses and toughness of the paper.
It is normal for there to be marks on the pads. Usually, you can purchase pads to replace them, but you've got a LOT of life left in them. Enjoy!
